Im really not sure if this blog is worth the time and effort anymore. I proudly recorded 17 hits to this site the other day but im pretty sure dad makes up atleast 15 of those hits and the other 2 are probably just some dweebs. I get enough of dweebs through twitter. My coworker writes daily tweets about english conversation school news and some guy who I assume is sitting in a dark room with the curtains closed, muttering in a soft voice as he types replies to each of them but somehow always turns the comments sexy. So if Yoko types
"Last weekend we went to Ikeda and walked across a rope bridge," the nerdlinger will reply
"Then that is where we shall meet, my sweet, and theres no need to be scared because I shall hold your hand in mine"
or if she says
"We dismantled the halloween maze today and threw it all away," dork-boy will answer
"but you havent thrown away our love. We will carry it with us forever."
I probably dont need to mention as they are the only people who actually read this anyway but mum and dad came to japan a week back. It was bloody good to see them both in the flesh and I had a barrage of treats awaiting them on their arrival. The first of which was tickets to see Nana Mizuki in concert. I could tell by the look on dads face that he had never seen anything like it, and I came a little late, caught 3 of her songs and I vowed that from that day on we never would either. Nana Mizuki wears a comes from Niihama. She does voice acting for anime. She wears a  school uniform and when she sings her fans raise their light saber torches up slowly, drawing her energy, before breaking out into a frenzy of jumping up and little bit, saying hai a lot, and sweating like theres no tomorrow.
We also went to a mud hot spring in kyushu. We walked around the top of mount Aso. Dad rowed us down the Takachiho Gorge. We met monkeys and we met a hipopotomus(Ill post some photos up when I can figure out how i did that in the first place). All in all a fun time indeed, but after one week back at work and 6 Halloween parties I need a holiday again. Who`s visiting me next?

Had my teeth checked out. Theyre all fine apparently but they gave them an extra polish while I was there and a tooth massage, which Ive never had before, but was actually quite pleasant. While I was there I happened to notice that some 5 year old children had drawn pictures which had been hung on the wall. I often see them in dentists and hospitals. Is there some factory somewhere that employs these children to draw the pictures because I sure as hell never drew any dentist pictures of tooth decay when I was young. For me i think it was mainly space ship battles that had lazers that shot lines across the page which in the end made it look like i had just drawn a complex map of the osaka subway system, which is to say a very normal map of osaka subway system.
I also took a ride on the longest monorail in the world while i was in the area. It took 70 minutes in all and climbed to the top of the mountain. What impressed me most was the time and effort someone made to build it to climb a mountain, through a forest when, and then still find time to shape the vehicle into a giant stag beetle. Nice work.

Dentist tomorrow 10/02/2011

Gonna be going to the dentist tomorrow. Im starting to think that my mouth might be getting a little crowded so Im thinking of getting a wisdom tooth or two pulled. It also seems that one of my wisdom teeth might be slightly large than the one on the other side so theyre all getting pushed in a counterclockwise direction. They might look straight if I always tilted my head at an angle but then people would always think that Im either confused or trying to look up womens skirts,... or both.
I had a bad experience with the dentist in my 3rd year of living in Japan. Knowing little Japanese but having not been to the dentist for many years, I decided  "whats the worst that could happen" and that I should bite the bullet. Coincidentally that is now what it looks like I have been doing. The dentist had a look at my teeth. He said they were fine but that he could make them that little bit better. It sounded good to me so I agreed and that was when he drilled the insides of two of my back teeth out and stuck two huge chunks of metal in them so that noone would know the difference. The only difference being that it now looks like the whooky hole caves in there with the huge stalagtites pretruding from my back teeth. The dentist Im going to tomorrow is actually a student of mine and his english is damn good so Im feeling better about it. Hes also got great taste in movies. Hes the only man in Japan who owns a copy of Shaun of the Dead. Im in safe hands.
